Types of Venoms

Snake venom is a saliva that is 90% made of proteins and enzymes. There are several classes of venoms, the two most common ones are: neurotoxins and hemotoxins. The former attacks the Central Nervous System and the brain of the victim. Heart failure and breathing are compromised. Hemotoxic venoms focus on the blood, muscles and the major organs especially the heart. Typically the victim will bleed heavily internally as the blood clotting mechanism has been affected.
