Aim: new ideas and possibilities are put forward here, existing ideas can
be modified.
Creativity is a skill that can be learned. At the outset some people are
better than others at it due to their talent and personality but it is
possible to achieve a basic level of competence in creativity.
Questions
What creative ideas can I come up with to see the problem in a new light?
What new totally innovative ideas can I come up with?
It can encourage people who have never thought of themselves as being
creative to explore this limiting belief. Time is set aside for deliberate
creative thinking - it is not left to chance. Maybe new ideas won't be
generated but a deliberate effort has been made to generate them. One idea
can lead to a new idea. Often there is more than one way to solve a
problem and the green hat allows us to come up with different alternatives
i.e. a search for a better way.
