Randy Pausch was a Computing Science Professor at the Carnegie Mellon University in Pennsylvania. He specialised in Virtual Reality. In his mid forties he was diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer. He gave a cult lecture entitled "The last lecture: achieving your childhood dreams." This has been uploaded on to YouTube and can be viewed simply by typing "Randy Pausch lecture" as a key word search.
This is not a computing lecture,
rather a summation of how one man lived his life and how he enjoyed every
moment of it.
The main points from the lecture are on the next page.
