Lying

Research shows that people who tell white lies are more popular than those who continually tell the truth. When we see, speak and hear lies we usually try to cover our mouths, eyes and ears with our hands. Gulping increases when we lie. This is more noticeable in men as they have an Adam’s Apple.

Attractive people are more believed than ugly people. When people lie they smile less than usual, - the subconscious mind sends out a nervous energy that appears as a gesture to contradict what we are saying. Some people are almost professional liars – e.g. lawyers and politicians. They try and reduce the number of gestures that they actually make. The more you hide your body when lying the better – all these micro gestures appear on the face when we lie e.g.  flushing, face twitching, sweaty appearance.

1. Ear Grab

Despite a person saying they like what they are hearing, they are subconsciously trying to block what they are being told.

2. Eye Rub

Here the liar is trying not to look at the person they are peddling their lies to.

3. Finger in Mouth

The liar is pressurised and is unconsciously sucking his mother's breast for comfort.

4. Mouth Covering

The liar is unconsciously is trying to prevent thhe lies from being heard. However there is another facet to this: if the person who you are talking to to feels that you are lying, then he / she might cover their mouth.
