7. The Ankle Lock
When an interviewer locks his ankles he is mentally biting his lip. He is holding back a negative emotion, uncertainty or fear. The feet are usually under the chair to show a withdrawn attitude – people put their feet in to the conversation when they want to be involved.
In interviews at some point the interviewees will lock their ankles: they are holding back some opinion or attitude. Good questioning can reveal what this is. However if the interviewer walks around the desk, removing it as a barrier, the interviewee will relax and unlock their ankles and the conversation will be more relaxed.
Women with short skirts have to cross their legs and ankles, this can make them seem unapproachable.

8. The Leg Twine
Used by women – especially shy and timid ones. They don't want to be noticed.

9. Parallel Legs
Men because of their bone configurations in their hips and legs cannot sit like this. Men find it very attractive. It is taught at deportment and modelling classes.
