Legs

The further away from the brain a body part is positioned, the less conscious awareness we have of what we are doing. Therefore, the legs and feet are particularly useful where body language is concerned.

Feet

When people lie, their feet move a lot more – our lower body movements increase when we lie. That’s why lots of managers like solid front desks as compared to glass ones.

Legs

Open / uncrossed legs show an open and dominant attitude. Crossed legs indicate closed attitudes or uncertainty. A woman not interested in a man will fold her arms on her chest and cross her legs away from him.

Standing Positions

1. At Attention
Neutral attitude, no commitment to stay or go.

2. Legs Apart - Crotch Displayed
More a male signal, as it highlights the genital area, shows dominance and a macho attitude. Its often seen at half time in sport especially the crotch adjustment (to highlight the masculinity).

3. Foot Forward / Pointing
The lead foot points to the direction where our mind wants us to go to. In a group situation we point our foot at the most interesting or attractive person. When we want to leave we point our foot at the nearest exit.
